The big boys are certainly NOT the people to buy a screen from.
As for wiring, it depends on how competant you are and how you actually want it to work. A heated screen draws a lot of curent so you have to make sure all wiring & switchgear is up to the job. Some use a timer-relay so they hit the switch and the screen stays on for a pre-determined amount of time and then switches off automatically (usually about 5-minutes or so but that is determined by the timer-relay). That is fine if you are a forgetfull sort but personally mine is wired up to a manual switch becuase I am not forgetfull and I have found that even in the coldest of mornings I don't need more than a couple of minutes of heat.
I was am going to do the same , the cost is £140 + £25 to fit it . I have to connect it o get it working . mine will come with a green tint and the firm is local . ( 300Tdi 1996 )
Yes, I'm up for an easy life so i'll look into the loom. Hopefully I'll me able to get a good price on a screen too. I'll not be able to fit it myself but I know someone who can help!
