bloody typical ain't it? the doris goes out to the post office to collect my parcel she missed yesterday (!) and misses fedex with my unit

only good thing is....got my synergy to stick on after i've given it a clay/polish/wax tomoz :)

Indeed ! Markys slacking ! Lol
Oh and i might be sending mine back now ! When playing music it makes an electrical sound almost sounding like shorting two cables together but it doesn't do it constantly !
Might get a refund a go for another make !

I don't blame you, I'd send it back and look for a better unit from another seller.

I've seen a good one myself, If and when I choose to upgrade my current unit there is a choice of two I'd go for. I'll have a look later when home and copy link to the two I'd pick. These have all the bit's that I'd want on top of the bits yours already has.

Think we've hit a wall with these units, looks like Marky may be in for a world of hurt!

Saying that what you can try is a little trick, stick an extra earth to the unit!! You've got loads of pre-drilled holes already, just stick a wire on and earth it somewhere behind unit, see if that fixes the issue! If not, you've not altered the unit and send it back.

The noise you can hear may just be from poor earth when volume is up high?!

Give it a try!!

Are we going to see some progress on this anytime sooooooooon?

Hi folks

joining the party fashionably late... I've just bought myself a double din unit and want to replace the factory fit in-dash 6 CD changer.

Was wondering if I need a wiring harness and/or fascia adaptor. If so, can you remember which harness it is?

Have tried researching, but am getting conflicting info - eg shop (Huets) says yes, Halfords website says no.

Cheers

Thanks Marky - does that sort the stalk control too?

no mate...depends on the steering connections on the back of your new unit but the three steering control wires are in the plug for the standard unit. i know this is a long thread with a bit of banter and mindless pi$$taking but it is well worth a read of it all because everything has been well covered already.....;)
