lol you nutter! setting 10!!!!! better get it booked in for recon injectors soon lol ;)

should be here tomorrow so time for a play :D just change all the filters and cleaned all the crud out of the egr and blanked off the vac pipe with dazjams peg n pipe mod and it has improved it alot already :)

just fancied a bit more mpg... 250 miles out of a tank at 80 quid is a bit of a killer!!!

On setting 10 it's got to blow smoke when you put your foot down, Like mark sez, get ready for a run on injectors cos these units don't take any prisoners when the injectors start to go marginal......i'd also start looking for a recon high pressure fuel pump too although that probably wont start ****ing doozel out now until the cold mornings next winter:rolleyes:

Sounds scary!!
What setting would you recommend for everyday use then!!

mines the original tu3 somthing or other and used to have it on setting 5 which was mid power and high throttle response, although i did used to put it on max every now and then when I felt like just ragging the arse of the thing.
It's still on the car, just disconnected. I was going to send it back to roveron to have the harness renewed, the first ones came with a crappy home made plug that went into the fuel pressure sensor and it had been rubbing in a few places.
When I asked roveron about a new harness and reflashing the programme, said the harness was no prob (£20) although he no longer had the software for this version so he would give me £60 for it against a new one..........Still thinking about it as the injectors are no problem(I always carry 2 recon spares and have another 2 recon ones at home) and I've just changed my high pressure pump....so it should be good for at least 3-4 years with a tuning box back on it.

I feel so left out haha!

If you want to race the boys I'd suggest getting rid of the Freelander and buy a fast little two seat mid engine! Or act your age and embrace the hair growing out your nostrils and ears hahahaha.

I've had Coupes and Softtops all my life and this is the slowest car I've had, but you know what I don't care, when we had the snow it proved to be great and I mean great! So when someone rips passed me like a loon I just think one day I'll be passing you again:D

Since I rebuilt the engine my MPG is much much better I've not worked it out, infact why the hell do I need to, it's all there on my Head Unit within IGO:D:D

I did a 240 round trip other weekend and stuck £40 in and still had enough to run it for the week after...... If I horse it, it will drink, therefore I dont.

I take it no synergy 2 for you :)
I'm used to going slow as I always had bigger vans.
But would be nice to pull off fast if I needed to.

hahahahahahaha

No synergy for me, I'm a petrol lover!!

It can pull away at lights OK, nothing like a sports car, but if your ready for the lights to change and the winds blowing in your favour and it's the third moon of the month you can beat the car in the next lane as long as he stalls hahaha. No it's alright, it's a big lump of a car so when I bought it I was going for a life change I've done all the angry driving so now I'm happy to crusie along the motorways and with the IGO on she tells you to slow down if your speeding which is annoying but does save the fuel if you listen to it!!

The wifes car Fiesta TDI Sport feels like a rocket now which it never did when I had the MGF but overall I'm happy with the Freelander and cant wait for the snow to come back!!

I hate sat nav voices always have mine a 0
Bad enough my woman telling me what to do at home!
Can't have it in the van too

36

No need to lie about my age as I'm not female nor pretend to be female!!:D

My first car was a Classic, Vauxhall Viva GTA which got me hooked on vintage and speed, when all my mates were flying round in Nova RS's I was polishin me chrome! Since then I've done Ghia, XR2, XR3, Covertables, RST's Calibra, Rover Coupe, sports, MG, this is my first 4x4, but did opt for the three door over the five just cos it looks a little bit sports than the five!? I guess this was the child within.

c'mon kids (!) back on topic...... :p

had an email today saying new unit had been despatched so fingers crossed should be here tomorrow :)

I'm still after one of these............but I may go for a different make.
2 units with 2 failures......mmm, do you think they may be sending out repaired units first and then if they fail again send out a brand new one?

Yes I was thinking the same

they maybe but it was all nicely sealed in a good quality box but that don't mean anything really!

but what i have found out since is you can get this unit from eonon's uk store for 239 delivered with european maps/nav software and a TWO YEAR warranty (just 12 months on ours)......

Thats good to know, their are plenty of units out there at good prices, I can agree perhaps this seller isn't the best option to go with given the record on two units and I'm guessing nobody wants to make it a third, mind you it would be funny!!

It's been a few weeks since I was complete and I can honestly say the unit feels like it's been in longer, I forget how much hassle I had sorting out all the wires esp the wheel controls! The kids love the screens in the rear and I love the fact that I don't have to mess about with a little sat nav unit on the windscreen anymore which was well out of date I can just install newer maps when they come out! Nice!!

MJRIMMER com join the club "you know you want to" haha Ps don't get all chatty wif Sasha she's a lady boy you know!!
