The VIN number on my log book matches up with the £37 one and the £89 one. The £50 one is for up to year 2000 - mine was registered in july 2001. I hope I have read all the technical stuff correctly!
Alternatively - one from autosense and one from dessy? Makes it in the region of £87? With a bit of luck when he connects up the front and re-tests it I might only need one! Ever hopeful me!
Just to fill you in Mark, Autosense came back with £86 for both altho the fronts won't be in till later in the week. But good price and good comms from him too! Thanks for the heads up
Found out today that the front sensor is fine - unplugged but now re-plugged and fully functioning! Only the rear one required at cost of £41 incl express delivery. If I had an MOT done at a garage and it failed and then re-tested at a 2nd garage, do they do the whole test again or only the 'failed' bits? I don't really want to go back to the original MOT station as don't want to run the risk of meeting that guy that tried to rip me off! Anyone know the answer to this?
Thanks
Carol
Thanks - am assuming since its all been done officially and logged as a fail with VOSA, that they shouldn't turn up anything that hasn't already been turned up? D'ya think?
Depends on the tester, they are allowed anything they think is not up to standard but if you have the fail sheet they might be lazy and just check the fails. fingers crossed
Whatever garage MOTs the car dont let them use the rolling road unless it's specifically designed for permanent 4x4. Otherwise they run the risk of really damaging something i.e. the transmission.
