Hi All

I've taken the plunge and after a few too many beers in the pub last weekend, accidentally won an ebay auction for my first ever 4x4!! I'm now the happy and proud owner of a slightly leaky (both oil and coolant) 1997 90 Defender 300 Tdi.

Already used this forum to check out how to do a few things, as i have no mechanical knowledge, only a trusty Haynes manual, so thought I'd actually join as I'm sure to have plenty of questions.

Welcome :)

Good to see you've jumped straight in the deep end with a proper landy and not one of those gaylander things

...and I bet that's for stuff you want to put on the 'fender rather than actually fixing something which has broken :D

WELCOME!

hahaha this shop is to try and fix the coolant leak and the lack of brakes. The next one will be for the fun stuff though.

Its already addictive, need more tools too :D

Yeh, these are external guages to allow you to check fluid levels without lifting the bonnet! Very clever move by landrover! Welcome btw!
