Ok so done approx 1000 miles in my p38 now and i have to say it has not missed a beat engine wise an although there are a couple more things that dont work (headlight wipers and the passenger side mirror don't go back to normal position after putting into drive from reverse) I have to say I am very imppressed.

However bank holiday weekend did about 200 miles and noticed towards the end of the journey i was getting a vibration that was comming in about 50mph slightly worse at 80 but nothing much more.

had all 4 wheels aligned and ballanced, still there. checked all breaks no sticky caliper or hot spots / disc wear. I have swapped the prop over with another p38 where there was no vibration and this did not cure it either

It almost seems to come and go. I have read up on some topics re prop shaft bush any other reasons why this could be happening.

any thoughts or recomendations of who i might take it to in the colchester / essex area that is not up for ripping me off would be mucho appreciated

You've had your wheels balanced and tracking checked.

One question are the tyres all the same make/type/tread pattern and all worn about the same, or is there nearly new mixed with old almost worn out???

80mph i must be dreaming, i don't go much above 50 in my diesel p38.
worried about hitting lesser vehicles:eek:

Lone wolf cheers will check them out

Zzr1200 all tracked and balanced last week spot on. I do have an different rear set up one nearly new Michelin one 5mm Dunlop so could be that front are both Michelin

Drag link not yet changed will try that next

They don't like odd tyres or different wear levels.
