Fingers crossed this one has no leaks!!! Sunroof gobbed up just to be sure there lol.

Might hold you to that one day Dave. Loves me a cuppa!

Well....

I have the beast.

So far.....

Absolutely love it.

It def rides differently to my FL... moves around a lot more.

But the comfort... the room... and the noise from that td5 is immense...

Very happy boy.

I've got a little gripe with mine (first of many I'm sure) the central locking seems a bit dim witted. When I press the button, either first or second time for full unlock, the mechanisms seem to take half a second to decide that they are locks and need to open. Any ideas? Solenoid? Actuators? Asked my brother in law who has a d2 too and his works straight away. Works fast and fine from the bottom on the dash of this is any more info?

Yeah mine has always been the same press once and it will only unlock the drivers door, press twice and it will unlock all the other days and takes a about a second or so to actually unlock the other doors, third press and it unlocks the boot, but they always do unlock and I just take it for granted that mine is 18years old now so things will take abit of time:D

Yeah when I was 18 I took an age to do anything too, feel like I'm interrupting it sometimes and I'm rudely making it unlock my doors for me :D

I don't mind it, it's just the Land Rover character to me which makes it for special for me :D my girlfriend moans at it and she won't drive it but it's a lot more fun than a her mini ;)

good to hear ur happy with urs

i also went from a freelander to the disco, , alas couldnt find a decent D2 , seeing the chassis issue

but then this project D3 came up, have realised of the hard work i've had to do to get it to a decent standard

but love the discos , along with the massive amounts of room and being able to eat the motorway miles in comfort, also knowing when going off road it has half decent capability

can't see any other model covering everything that i want a vehicle to do

welcome to the asylum!

My D2 can be a complete pain at times but i wouldnt get rid if it (except maybe for a D4!). My biggest niggle is that, like most big 4x4s, it should really have a 6th gear.

yes things go wrong but theyre normally straightforward to fix.... and adding stuff is easy. and its a joy to drive! 90 miles today on a mix of motorways and winding devon roads, and it just ate the miles up

couldn't agree more, but seems without a decent diagnostic reader ur onto a losing battle, due to its complex electronics the days of easy fixes i feel are over ,

annoys me sometimes , in how much u have to take off to get to the final replacement of a part , but at the end of the day it's a land rover after all , wouldn't change it for the world

Sounds like selonoids are on way out I have replaced 2 locks another 2 to do they usually lock as normal but wont they unlock so i have to use key to unlock driver's door
