after 4 months I have finally found my workhorse 300Tdi..

yes I know its a 1998, auto and been welded BUT its got an MOT, been checked out by my local garage and amazingly !! has no rust !

Now what I want to do is a but childish but I want to add some goodies..

It has been wired up for 4 roof spots so I will source them but I would like to add things like snorkel, boot protecter etc etc..

I'm sure I will get a lots of suggestions ( clean only please ! ) BUT can people list nice goodies I may add to my disco from body to mechanical and essential and 'nice to have's'

I better make sure I have plenty of printer paper !!

I know it sounds daft mate but what you wanting to use it for

Off roading ???
Green laning ???
Just looking good on the road ???

As to what I want to use it for I admit its probably a bit of both.. possibly greelaning at some stage and looking good initially.. ( I have a 15 yr olf boy who likes the disco but think sit could be cooler ! )

Before you start adding the non essentials might I sugest that you do a few essentials first ?
A good service changing all the filters and cleaning out the sedimenter,
flush out the intercooler,
change all the drive belts maybe even cam belt,
change diff oils, transfer box oil and gearbox oil,

I know these might sound a bit boring compared to snorkels etc but it's a bit pointless bolting a 2" lift kit on a car that is sitting on the side of the road broken because of a failed drive belt.

Check the wheel bearings are sweet and the calipers haven't seized. Just in case that isn't covered under the scope of your service.

If you are new to land rover, you will soon learn that you have to check EVERYTHING all the time.

As for making it look good, get some standard disco steels, fit 31" Tyres and fit them to the car inside out.

Gives you a great looking wide stance on the cheap :D
