Hello All,

After months of deliberating and internet window shopping I have finally taken the plunge with a (hopefully) nice 88" diesel........ Hopefully pick it up in a week or so....

Its spent most of its life in sunnier climes so the chassis and bulkhead seem in fine fettle. Have got a few electrical maladies to solve, plus a good service and check over before the MOT so I am sure I'll be onto you guys for advice as I start attacking things.

Then I need to get it registered and hopefully an age related plate before hitting the road.

More updates and photos to follow.

Hi,

Yes it does have a split screen. Probably the angle of the photo making it look like a single screen.

The guy seemed fine to me, I only live a few miles away so managed to have a sneak peek before the time I arranged. Why what was he cagy about???

As honolulujoe said does he have all the documents and history for it?

He was very short with me and wouldn't say if he had all the gumph to go with it to get it registered

It originally from Malta. Have seen the original import doc and release from Malta. Hoping registering in the UK won't be too much of a headache, but not holding my breath on that one. I'll cross one bridge at a time and get it MOTable and through the test first.

Any advice on re-registering would be appreciated.

's all good then :D ya git!

Nice, good luck and keep us posted with pics :)
Dont think re-registering is a prob as long as you have all the relevant info, and that info ties up with the vehicle, if you dont, and the info doeant match then it gets a "Q" plate

This is the FOURTH Land Rover with Maltese connections this week, (check e-bay). What is going on?....or am I just being cynical?!!
