Hi folks,

The heating in my Landy is, to say the last, not so hot...with the lever set at the bottom, it takes a while for any sort of heat to emerge and, when it does, it ain't that hot...any ideas on fault / solution please, pretty please.

i'm no mechanic but have you checked your thermostat.. it's usually the cause of heater problems..

Have you dismantled the inlet and outlet pipes. During my recent rebuild I dismantled the pipes that attach to the heater only to find the rubber and foam seals were perished. Therefore there heater was not opperationg at its max. No idea about the other replys you have had but this might be worth checking.

Thanks folks...will have a look tomorrow...and I'll let you know the outcome.

I would go for the thermostat option, chances are its opening and staying open, the 300tdi Disco was doing this, changed it and now the heat is incredible.

Engine runs much better and it is on the whole better for the engine because the oil can get hotter too and doesn't cause the short journey syndrom where moisture can build up in the engine.
