Was the d2 interior just bolt straight in? fancy that for mine, about the smacked and badly repaired Dont think thats fair, it doesn't look exactly like a d2 as the bonnet hangs abit far behind the lights and grill but only noticeable to landy geeks like us lot to untrained eye looks like a newer disco lol! also wanna know how you did the td5 lights on the back!

Damn that's shiney:). At first sight, I thought I was looking at a mark 2 of 2000 vintage and it's only under closer scrutiny that you see the evidence of it's mark 1 heritage. The tail light conversion is a neat fix but like some others, I'm not so sure about the grills near the indicator repeaters on the wings. Good choice of colour too.

Love that!

I'm confuzzled though, how are those rear lights fitted?!

Must have taken serious cutting work!

Yes ive been pointed out a couple of other differences by some very keen hawk eyes like the wiper stalks etc, people on here really know what they are looking at. lol

The seats are pretty easy, fronts are d1 bases with d2 base cover swapped over and then change the complete seat backs over, they just bolt on. Rears are a little more tricky as the d1 ones lock in position on the sides and the d2 ones from the floor. I used some rear door strickers from a rover i think it was and welded them to the floor so the seats can lock into them, good as new!!

The rear light panels are spot welded onto the rear quarters, you drill the spot welds out and the end panel then mates up to the 300 quarter, job done :)

And get rid of the thing on the side ASAP!

Fully agree, they are ****e!!

Cheers and yep side grill things are shocking

As above, just remove end panels from d2 quarters and refit onto 300 ones

Cheers all for the kind comments

Just painted it I meant. Painted Saturday, hit the lanes Sunday an scratched it to bits. Haha. A proper Landrover isn't complete without the scratches I don't think.
