Right ok so iv not got my range rover, it drives perfect etc however iv got a few little issues id like to address, here goes...

1, the heating only works on the passenger side - air blows out the drivers side but there is no hot air coming out, does anybody know what this could be?

2, the alarm/central locking works however the front drivers and passenger side doors are not locking/unlocking off the fob yet the rears do, again anybody ideas?

3, the sunroof makes noises when you press the buttons yet appears to not move.

any help would be greatly appreciated.

1 Hevac blend motor
2 Dorr lock mehanism or door outstation
3 Jammed sunroof.Try using the manual key for the roof to exercise it and then see if it frees up.

Could you elaborate on the first two for me please mate and how much am i looking at for repairs can i get a blend motor from a breaker etc how difficult to fit?

Do a search for green oval and from there download the RAVE service manual for the P38 RR.The systems on the RR are fairly complex and reading about them will give a better understanding of how they work.Or try http://www.landroverresource.com/

I just googled the blend motors, so seems like the obvious reason is that one is stuck closed for the drivers side and will need to be replaced - seems like a hell of a job

Does anybody know somewhere in the northwest that does this time after time so knows what they are doing etc, alternatively is there a way to manually open the vent?

Try cycling the system; select say 24 on both sides, A/C off, blower on full then flick thru directional switches a few times. Re-select Auto, both sides on Lo, then thru cycle again.

If one is just sticking, this often clears it!

by through cycle again do you mean start over where you said set both at 24?

Run the temperature button up to max and down to min a few times, do the same with the distribution buttons cycle through all movements.

Have a look here Range Rovers most jobs you can do yourself just takes a little time also put in your location

Not surprised, blend motor failure is a common problem
