You do get roll which is a characteristic of the transmission handbrake but the fact it is significant enought for you to ask the question I guess it must be quite noticeable. I would tentitively suggest that perhaps you are applying the handbrake before the vehicle has come to a complete halt????
because it only brakes rear prop shaft ,you do get roll from play in axle

Its only a problem if you apply the trans brake while still moving.Shouldn't cause any issue with 1/2 shafts (or UJ's, diffs or props for that matter), the amount of torque going through these components when it rocks on the handbrake will be insignificant compared to the amount of torque going through them when pulling away or towing.
