I did look at the series clasp rivet in section...good idea.... but gunna use the recess fit from the original tub and also fit a cover flap to stop frost......

welding it in or just rivets and some body filler ?

it will be in the ally panel so probably rivet it,i can use the tub end cappings to make it look right..:)

also roof and rear panel, thats a series rear panel and the roof is fairly straight ..:)

new seals and sorted that glass is sweet....:)

Nice :)

You doing it this weekend ?

push on this week, got to sort out the back of beastie as its full of horse tack.
gunna empty the wagon today and remove rear wiper wire and wash hose....

got to get a roll of rubber seal from somewhere .....

i dont want a 110 its too long ...

my conversion budget is zero so ill tot it up...

so its better the devil you know .......a trayback dropside pick up suits better for posts as i can then drop a pallet on the back with the tractor save loading by hand...the hicap butt is also a pain to get woodchip out of..flat tray is so much better.:)

todays task has been to work out the seatbelts, the series cab back i have has no mounts for the overshoulder fitting,
so i have a set of seatbelt mounts from the b-pillar on a disco 1 that im going to fit in somehow....probably bolt them to the cab then i can fit the belts to that,i do have the van side mounts to play with so be ok i think...

im also thinking a white roof and cab will help...

right then ive worked out the tray is 1.8 m x 1.4 m,so im now on the hunt for a trailer board bits, seen some on ebay i could cut down to size, the new fittings for dropside panels are expensive......
the tray will take fence posts just purrrfect and the rails can go on the over cab rail.

i also need a 6" box section and stays for the towbar extension, like the 130 hicap has...

anyone?.

so then I have disc brakes on a disco axle on the back.also the aframe thingy is present,

do i keep the stabaliser a frame thingy or remove it and wot weight springs can i fit i lost my spring chart.....

as it will be quite loaded i am thinking HD 110 hicap springs for the back however the fuel tank is under cab rather than centre so can i fit springs the same on the back or do they have to be side relevant?

you cant fit 110 springs on a 90 unless you change chassis spring seats ,h/d springs are usually the same each side

ah ok ill fit disco 1 rear hd then...
i have a pair of springs that i cant determine what apart from R/rover front with a green stripe.they stand the same height.

this is what i have a pair of.....

well got all the seals etc stripped and the curved glass refitted to the cab bak today, rub down in the morning then paint it by lunch,

fitting the curved windows in the truck cab is a tw@t of a job, still the alloy side button catches on the rear glass that slides still move....the cab i got from a series is nice...

get that rubbed down and painted along with roof beating tomoz......

Also does a series cab fit perfectly onto fender ?

If so I'm gonna use a 110 roof for my kingcab project as that'll be same width :D and means I don't have to worry about it not fitting
