after sitting in the MOT station for a nail biting hour, my 96 disco V8 had passed with flying colours! i asked him what the advisories were (not even expecting it to pass) and he said "none - we couldn't find anything wrong with it" i said " hang on, its a 16 year old discovery- that can't be right!" but he said "no, its really unusual, we nearly always find something but its in really good condition"
i'm well chuffed.:bounce:
i suppose i better look after it now!

Great stuff. My 94 200tdi passed a month ago for the cost of a couple of wiper blades, and no advisories.I do look after it, but its always a great feeling to pick it up and the mechanic say what a straight vehicle it is for its age.

The majority of vehicles have a lightbulb out usually a numberplate bulb or need a wiper blade changing, then after that its suspension links, tyres, or rust.

Ooh and Congrats :D

it was a good un last night when the MOT inspector went down the pit with his little ****ting stick under me series for its first test since 1997 he called me down then stated its the cleanest underbelly hes seen for over 20 years and threw the little hammer out of the pit saying theres no ****in point even trying

he then proceeded to go through the usual lights door handles latches then said go on wheres the bloody washer switch on this fukker so i showed him he laughed and said i forgot all about them then he turned the knob with absolute surprise he stated **** me they work too and youve even got a dcent set of blades on it

didnt get a single advisory nor a bad comment

absolutely dumbstruck i was as i was sure he would find summot wrong with her

My Range Rover failed for the sake of shock rubbers, not bad for a 32 year old vehicle. I also had 3 advisories, lot of work before next year. :(
