I've always had a thing about forward controls and was over the moon to spot these on my way round tonight, gorgeous , fear not, no trouser accidents occurred (this time ) .

Two of them have winches fitted but only one has the fairlead type thing on the front.

All are 3.5 V8 on carbs.

Cab doors need work as do the bulkheads but the chassis and bodies are quite good and relatively straight.

Now, where is that piggy bank again?...........

Lovely old machines!!

I've been thinking a FC with a 5.2 RPI v8 would go well :p:D

300+ hp in a FC would be interesting i should think, if the rest of the drivetrain could handle it that is ;)

I couldn't do it to one, but I could easily and readily fit a Cummins 6BT, 5.9ltr straight six diesel , it'd pull a FKin house down :D

Until it acquired the old title of 'ditchfinder'
Knew a squaddie years ago that reckoned they were a nightmare on the open road with any sort of cross-wind
Parabolic all round, spring over axle, high sided and no weight apart from the axles and drive train says they'd be not so much fun in cross winds :(

Used to see one of these daily absolutely love them. Been modified for film use over the years aswell judge dredd and wasn't there one in the fast and furious films? Altho If I could afford one it would have to be a ford modular swap think that took over from rover v8 in the end and I cannot think of any better engine more than enough grunt and not over the top ( I'm biased tho )
