followed the e40 from calais to bruxelles , luxembourg , metz , then east towords strasbourg (first day , hell of a drive but this was the boring part anyways) camped close to dahn in the forest.
next we went down to bazel , bern , montreux , martingny where we headed east again to sion, this is where our route through the alps really started.
we camped the next night in fafleralp north of goppenstein,
went to brig the next day where we headed north into the mountains to naters , we then got a cable car to the top and a short walk brought us to (

we then headed north east from brig (the road splits) and found a camp site for the night.
to cut a long story short we went to furkapass where we went to see the Grosser Aletschgletscher (
Grosser Aletschgletscher - Google Image Search ) , you can walk inside this glacier and its stunning , well worth a visit, oberalppass and then on to chur.
we then headed south to st moritz , east to bolzano ,cortina , then south to venice.
there was a lot of diversions , days here and there , a hotel due to really heavy thunder and lightening rain storms , lots of glaciers and sight seeing.
a day was spent in venice (you can leave your car in the port and walk in) before catching a 27 hour ferry to corfu.just over a couple of weeks exploring corfu's mountain tracks (there are literally hundreds and hundreds of miles of off road tracks on the island) and secluded beaches then back home along pretty much the same rout.
took around 4-5 weeks in total but well worth the effort , around 10days to get there , around 17 days in greece and around a week to get home , wasnt really counting.
worked out almost as cheap as most 2 week package holidays , but not quite.
