Totally believe it, wish I could find such a simple solution to the charger for one of my battery drills. So stupid to have to think about junking a perfectly good drill cos the batt charger has gone wonky. Drill Ok, batts OK, charger fubar. And I bet it is just a minor fault in the charger. I have not thrown any part of it out and will endeavour to get my non-electronic head around it until I find the bit that needs replacing and then solder a new one in!lol, maybe I should have said electric tooth brush holder
Must admit I thought it was a wind up, but heard it actually works charging the inductive keys up

trouble is it isn't a known make or model, it was a cheapo one from Screwfix years ago, and I really mean years ago, before tinternet. I'll have a look tomorrow at all the labels on it, but I really am not sure it'll help.hi @Stanleysteamer
what make and model is it plse , just in case I can find a charger for it
also the same, hate throwing something away

I just wish I knew more about electronics and could just get hold of the right bits and solder them into place!
Thanks mate, I'll be back!thks, Indeed if u can can anything to go by will do my best to see if I can find anything for u
Like my Disco 2 which had gotten so hard of hearing it would only unlock and lock the doors if you held the fob against the roof! (new fob battery) It did this for weeks right up until i bought the new throttle pedal (£352) and alarm sensor for the roof (£53). While fitting the pedal i nipped back inside the house to get the wobbly angle socket extension to get at the nuts, realised i hadn't locked the door and from about 20 foot away pressed the fob button and heard the lock click? With so much electrical stuff I often feel there is stuff that gives hints before going off the rails and other stuff that just suddenly goes. And even stuff that then rights itself. Like the electric power steering on wifey's Pluriel. Or the ACE on my D2. both of which went down and then righted themselves. Gremlins, who'd have 'em!
