Thank you, im now wiser, yes the noise when i tried to spin the wheel was coming from exactley that area. I could see looking down into the engine that when the wheel turned 2" the prop would do the same and click, but go no further. Thanks for those photos

just noticed, have you got a 80mm bullbar and tubeular sump guard fitted? ive got the same.

Nope. I’ve got the v6 engine with the manufacturer standard engine under tray. The tube you can see is the anti roll bar me thinks. The bar sits below where the yellow arrow is pointing to. The bit where the front prop shaft connects to the rear of the IRD. Neighbours car is also at the rear of the photo. My little sig moving photo’s show what the front looks like.
