As many of you legacy landyzoners may remember,my P38, one of my classics and my mum's P38. my P38 the blue one went a couple of years ago, as did the classic. mum passed away in end of 2021 and the my stepfather has kept hold of the silver P38.
hower, its got a couple of faults, the gear box control is delayed on shift, it had a replacement gearbox a couple of years ago, checked the cable, it shifts through all the gears with no splippage, oil and filter have been done, so determined an issue through the BECM again dry joints. the winscreen wipers are not working and its had a new motor, the stalk switch works so again suspect dry joints on the BECM and the EAS needs a check over, new pump pump and valve block, if i recall i put Arnott Gen2 bags on it a few years ago. so talking with @biketeacherdave we reckon the faults could be down to dry joints on BECM. but honestly i dont have the time or space to be dealing with it, could pull the bECM and send it to @rickthepick but again, dont have the time to deal with it so looking to sell it on to someone that will take care of it and not just scrap it.
its got the upgraded leather interior, BRC LPG installed by capital autogas my mum had installed. got reams of records, its in daily use and MOT'd till september, engine runs as it should for a 4.6 Thor engine as it did when it left the factory. to be honest its an awesome car, and will be a great candidate for someone to sort and carry on with. its the silver one.
i still have my 4.2SC and running fine. its sad but its the end of an era and happier days.
let me know if interest.
