I’m back
so looking at the gap between the radiator and the viscous fan on the 300 tdi disco conversion on me fender i dont think it will work to well..

so im gonna do the leccy fan thing..kenlowe seem well exspensive,has anyone done anything apart from kenlowe and what did they use and how easy was it to fit...thanks

A Mondeo mk3 1.8 petrol fan fits perfect in a 19J & only £11 offa Fleabay :)
Almost OEM fit. Tiny, tiny trim, 2x brackets & easy.
Just got to stop mine blowin fuses now.
Gonna wire in now wiv a relay- X-eng said their stat would switch 17A- maybe it draws more on start. I'll let you know soon if all works out.

got a 300 tdi tho which has an intercooler unlike the 19j(unless youve done summit different)

Is the 300 diff'rent 2 the 200tdi?
'Cos I got a 200 rad & i/c to drop in mine- just not got round 2 it yet.
The 200 drops straight in apparently...

pps I got the tape out & 19J rad is 758mm across the frame, 625mm across the core & 70mm deep. :)
 
Why not keep the plastic cowling from the back of the 300 rad & i/c? Measure the diameter where the viscouz would usually sit then go down the scrappy and find a leccy fan the same size and attach on the opening on a switch? Got a mate that did it on a 300tdi rangy conversion and it worked well towing/off road.

tbh its a waste of time fitting the 200 rad and intercooler into a turbo diesal as it will give you know benefits atall..

the 200 and 300 front setup is basically the same size..it will fit in yr td as long as you have the 200 defender frame for the rad/intercooler.
u can use the disco frame you just have to lower the mounts
 
got a pair of pug 106 leccy fans on my v8 switched on dash so can select
none, one or both amnd seems to work well and were easy to fit cost 12quid from scrappy
