Hi all ,
Got an issue with my 2002 freelander td4 auto. Goes into 5th when cold and first start driving but once driven a few miles, looses 5th. Up and down gears is fine and smooth otherwise. After a drive, there is a strong smell what I think is auto oil, but have no leaks anywhere
(reverse drum thing has been swapped, 2 solonoids and fresh fluid)
Decided to have a quick look at the control module, and to my surprise someone seems to have been in there previously, armed with a machete and insulation tape. Any ideas what could have been done? Any modifications that could be done to the wiring harness for any kind of benefit ie bypass something etc.
