WURZAL THE LANDY

On the test drive of my car I had a squeak when you put the foot down I took it to be a slightly loose serpentine belt but since I have been driving it a bit more this seems to have gone prob due to the car being used again p/o wasn't using it as it was too big for him. The squeak has been replaced with the sound of a fan kicking in in tune with the engine. Maybe this is normal but I was hoping for more of a v8 roar when the foot went down.

How does the fan work should kick in at a certain temp or is it running all the time?

The engine temp seems to sit at about half way so think its ok

If it's running on full blast all the time, then it's not normal. Fan clutch should only engage above certain temperature. It can be even siezed, which can cause the fan to explode.

One used fan ordered up should be fitted by this time next week hopefully should sort the prob cheers guys. Now on to the next problem

For £10 delivered and supposedly fully working its worth a try. Also saw on paddocks you can get just the viscous part for 40 so can rebuild one on the bench if needed and still have the car mobile.

Don't buy cheap aftermarket ones, you will regret it.
:D

Only genuine fan clutch works properly.
