right my disco has just failed its mot needing some welding and front nearside and offside torque/ reaction arm as excessive play in a pin/bush,
the welding aint a problem but what is this torque reaction thingy

sounds like radius arms to me you should have asked the bloke at the test centre what he meant as its not a landrover or normal mechanical term

i didnt take it the missus did coz i was at work, so i have just gave the garage a ring to find out and according to them this the correct term for the pan hard rod

A torque reaction arm is something you attach to an air wrench or drill or similar tool on an assembly line to prevent operator fatigue or RSI. It isn't anything you attach to a landy. He's tried to baffle you with Bull**** to make it sound like a complicated job or part. In the hope you'd do the " errmm that sounds serious you'd better replace it then"..

There's a lot on the www on vehicle suspension setups using 'Torque reaction arms' not all vehicle manufactures call them Radius arms.
