ok. have owned my disco 2 v8 auto facelift for a year now and I love it. It does have some faults which I would like to sort. the sport/man mode does not work, the ms lights do not come on at any stage and nor do any of the gearbox warning lights or the led prnd321 light next to the mileage. the gearbox works fine except on 3 or 4 occasions it has started off in 3rd and stayed there until I turn off ignition and restart and its fine again. the reverse parking sensors also don't work, get a single beep occasionally upon selection of reverse and the sensors are clicking as they should but the warning light in the switch flashes rapidly. thanks for reading this and if you can offer any advise it would be most welcome. someone did suggest that the ecu maybe set up for a manual box not auto but I live in spain and landrover dealers or anyone with hawkeye or nanocom are difficult to find. a normal diag tester has shown no faults. thanks again

My sports light stopped coming on and I found it to be the circuit boad under the auto cover. I got replacement from eBay for £10 and all was fine again.

just saw this... it's most probably set on manual in the BCU(not engine ECU) and there's no way to fix this without dedicated tester

have now decided that I think the sport mode poss is working although the lights etc are not. will try the pcb under the gear change but don't see how this would affect the other warning lights
