Jees I'm rubbish at searching. Many threads on this. I searched face-lift headlights and found most of them.
Here is one...

Yeah you could be right about the main beam light, but I want to keep the majority of the original bumper. As the headlamp isn't the correct shape for the bumper, or rather the bumper isn't shaped for the light, then it'll never look right. The picture you posted shows what looks like the bottom of the main beam lamp cut off, which isn't ever going to look good.
Why not fit the facelift bumper too, then it'll all match ok.

Difficult to tell without seeing the thing in the flesh I guess.
Might be something I'd regret doing.
I actually like that idea...Did a search but couldn't find any posts.
Seems like a good idea to me.
Has anyone done this? Any tips?

I believe that is what the owner of the car in the pic has done. It looks like the light unit sits in the bumper. The only way to do it, would be remolding the bumper to fit the light. It's only made of some form of polythene, so it should be possible to reform the bumper around the light. This would be better than cutting the light off at the bottom, which isn't going to look good, or be water tight, which means the lights would fill with water and dirt very quickly.
He's on the Muddy Freelander Facebook page. I'd post a link but I'm not sure if it's against the rules...Great find mate, where are you getting these pictures from? I wouldn't mind reading through the thread...
