First off, upon removing your centre console you'll quickly notice that your pre facelift isn't the same shape as the facelift version. Not too worry... landrover simply cut the middle tabs off the prefacelift then riveted this bracket on top. So go get yourself a donor car to drill the rivets off. I used a 5mm drill bit and some m5 nuts/bolts to bolt mine on.
My starting dash. Looks **** and i wanted a double radio so out it goes.
The heater tabs need cutting off on the pre-dashboard and two slots need cutting into the top for the retaining clips of the facelift centre console to clip into. It's missing on these photos but there are two guide stubs on the facelift bracket that need drilling just under those slots. If you look on the back of the fascia bracket it'll be clear where they go.
Once cut and drilled bolt your fascia on.
Heater controls are basically the same so just wire in your plugs (lights and fan speed) as the connectors are the same. The dial cables just slot on and clip in same as your old heaters.
At this point you'll look something like this....
so now you need to rehouse your switches. I shoved my electric window switches into the centre armwrest as i only have eleccy front windows. My sunroof broke so didn't bother extending that one and rehoming the switch. The rest of the facelift switches, fogs etc are around the prefacelift instrument panel so that leaves AC and heated glass etc. Luckily... this all fit into the facelift centre console. Landrover cheaped out again and used exactly the same switches... with a different button on the front of the switch. Only one to rehome will be the hazard one and i'm going to be working on that this week. I think i'm going to buy a facelift switch though and have it centre of the dashboard like the facelift does though. should be nice and easy.
So thats that really, you can do it very easily indeed.
