Not as far as I am aware, I was under the impression that it was returned to its previous function as a bus. That said, there is often an old Bedford in the film colours accompanying the Minis, whether this also belongs to him or if it is indeed the actual bus, I’m unsure of. I have always longed to vest the old fiat rooftop test track - it’s now a large shopping complex.

Thanks for your reply. I always thought that 'Caines closing statement '' hang on lads I've got an idea'' (as the gold slid towards the back of the coach) was a hint that there may be a sequel, but it was not to be.
nb. from a driver safety point of view the VAL was not the nicest thing to be in, the 'Chinese 6' chassis handled well enough but the driving position was lower down than the passenger seats (52 on the Duple body version) & was very restricted by the engine cover, 2 handbrakes (1 of which was a transmission brake) Telmar control etc. Not the place to be in the event of a front end crash :(

It would appear it has been found, apparently authentication by JLR UK, new V5c(logbook) issued by DVLA 18/12/20 and declared Sorn. https://vehicleenquiry.service.gov.uk/VehicleFound?locale=en

I can confirm that F424 NPE is currently shown as SORN'd with a MOT expiry in 2009 on the DVLA website, but of course the cynics amongst us could ask if that particular reg.# is still on the original vehicle
The reason for my continued interest is that my own '87 Vouge is currently undergoing a headlining replacement at the business that carried out restro. work on the Classic used in one of the films.

It’s up for sale in Southend on sea apparently.
