Not sure Storm

They look the same as AFU1075

Worth trying some washing up liquid on the 'flower bits' before hammering in with a mallet?

Tried that, it just bends the lip of the arch or the bloody things break!!

Getting right on my tits now!!!!!

try removing the black pole type thing that goes through the centre, if you accidentaly push that in before the flower is hom. you never will get it in.

i removed the pins, gave the pettals a light squeeze pushed into place then put the pins back, very fiddly, lots of brew breaks.

Tried loads of different holes in the arch, none will allow the petal end to go through..grr..why does the pin bit need to be pushed thru? (If i ever get that far).

It acts like a rawl plug and splays the petals out to stop it coming back out again.

Do i need a special magic super dooper fkin tool for this?

No. If they are that tight you could try fitting em using a pair of needle pliers to help squeeze the petals in while yer trying to insert em in the hole.

It sounds more like you've been on yer own to long and forgotten how to insert yer thing into the hole.:p

Yes, you're probably right, after a week in the uk and looking at whats on offer i'm thinking of buying a sheep. Right, i'll try the pliers, on the landy first, my nipples later.

if you squeeze a pair of opposite petals and then use the pliers to pull or push a third one against the side of the hole. Make sure it's fully inserted before tapping down the plastic centre dowl.

Success!!!

Here's how i did it..

I jumped in the landy, drove to homebase and bought 20 nuts and bolts.
I returned, opened the packet and bolted the ****er on.

Took 10 mins.

the reason they wouldn't fit is cos they're the wrong ones. Check the discription. defender ones are slimmer (to fit 1/4" hole) with a wider head.
If you ever want to fit one again these are the ones you need.

The only problems with nuts n bolts is they can encourage rot
