'97 300tdi 5 door disco
trying to get her looking good for billing (hopefully!)
tried back to black on the plastic trim that runs down the side, looks ok for couple of days but then goes greyish again,
not sure where but was reading how some disco 1 owners have painted said trim using satin black paint, just wandered if any of you guys have, how it turned out and did you spray or brush it.

A lot of spray paints are suitable for plastics after the application of a primer, you will have to remove that Back to Black silicone stuff first. :(
 
On my freelander that I used to have I used a tiny amount of linseed oil rubbed into the plastic then buffed with a dry cloth. It kept it looking great and lasted well. Not tried it on my Disco though.

I just hammerited all my plastic.worked a treat and if it starts to look warn i just give it a touch up.
 
when i had an escort ages ago i used a primer called plasticoat or something like that then you can use any paint you like was good stuff
