My freelander is in the shop which will proberly have a new ird box fitted this week. Looking at click4warranty they say claims can be put in from day 1. Do you think they would cover these boxes? I've emailed to ask. Thinking an idea would be to take out a cover which is £652 including 4x4 cover and putting in a claim for this box, would anyone see any issues?

I don't think they will warrant a pre-existing fault - especially as it is in the garage already!

Some garages won't do work under these warranties.

So it's already broken and you want to take a out a warranty and claim?

I think that's called fraud.
