Hey guys, sorry cant start new thread so have to ask here,

I'm a newbie and just need to know what the deal with arches and wide tyres is. Is it legal that just the tread of the tyre is covered by the arch whilst the round sidewall of the tyre may protude from under the arch?

I have these 35 x 12.50 x 15 tyres as shown someone else's photo, just wondered what the likelihood of getting nicked is? Whats the laws like in Europe (France, Germany, Austria in particular) for this?

Should I just pay out and get the extended arches or can I get away with it? I prefer the look of normal arches being honest.

ive never been pulled in my l200 or the landy, but the mot might be a different matter...

Down to testers discretion if tyres sticking out would pass or fail an MOT.
As far as plod is concerned I believe if the police stop you and the tire can be seen from the top of the car IE looking from above the arch then its illegal and you can be done under some construction law me thinks

but i have had several cars with tires the poke out from the arches and not just off road cars and never had a problem...

Hope that helps
Chris

Will be to do with if it won't pass this mot at the time if the accident then your insurance would be void,
