Ok chaps and chappettes! i know im in the wright place for experts. Advice needed please.

Discovery 1 300tdi P reg, 151k MOT until december, very clean and i cant find a spec of rust any where, its been in the same town its whole life.

2 MOT advisories, 1 wheel bearing has slight play and the rear propshaft doughnut perished.

it was manufactured in 1996 then registered in May 1997, it has no history with the vehicle.

I know i would need to do the timing belt strait away just to be safe and a full service.

£1300, just the no history thing bugging me?

Run the Reg. number through the DVLA checker, all the old MOTs and advisories will show, a HPI check should clear any dodgy finance outstanding.A VOSA check will show any insurance markers.others will have better ideas.

Depending where you are, a mate/spanner monkey could run an eye over it, unless you have faith in your own judgement or you're experienced enough with Landies to know where to look/prod. ;) :D

A D1 with no rust?
Sod the history it's just a nice bonus to have at that age.

Even if it had a million miles on the clock it's far cheaper to mend the greasy bits than the body work!
