Noticed a patch of dampness under the car the other day, thinking it was just condensation dripping off, I thought no more about it.

This morning braving the cold and sleety rain, I noticed said wet patch had got larger.....onto my hands and knees and rubbed my finger in it, rubbing between my fingers it had a slippery texture so I tasted it.....Feck it, Coolant.....

Bonnet up, no obvious signs of leakage but it was dark at 6.45 this morning!!

Drove to work, no issues, pulled up in car park, bonnet up again, leak quite evident - dripping from the Expansion Tank Overflow hose where it attaches to the top of the Rad....dripping at a frequency of 2 drips a second, so quite a good rate.

Bugger, I will wait for the Rad to cool, whip off the offending hose and see if it is just a slpit at the end and I can trim and reattach, if not Local Dealer has a hose on the shelf for £21 plus the VAT.....Paddocks list at £10.95 plus the VAT but would have to wait for postage....!!!

Ho Hum, gotta love these things:eek:

On inspection, the hose had split where the Jubilee sits, so it is either old age or I did it up too tight on refitment when I changed the Rad.....

Only Dirty cos I was under the bonnet and I work in Workshop environment and been discussing the latest revision of a Filter Removal Tool with our Prod guys, so I have been in and out of the Machineshop all morning before I went outside to look at the hose, but yes they could do with trimming admittedly....
