i have a 1996 tdi discovery brought back from japan and its exhaust smokes in summer but not in winter any ideas

maybe it just a bit worn out? poss the colder weather keeps all the tolerences a bit tighter?

I don't think its oil burning, looks like fuel to me and its only got 85000 on the clock.

any other suggestions?

adjust the IP. that may sort it out.

Could be overfueling, so in the winter cold engine etc bit more fuel, thats fine but in the summer engine warmer etc...
