So amongst the various issues with my FL1... there's a noisy rattle. Most prevalent when warm and when accelerating but seems to be there even on tick over. Someone has said it's serious engine issues whereas to me it sounds genuinely like a tinny rattle... and from somewhere around the middle of the car which I suspect to be the exhaust.

So I jacked it up and started gently tapping things, and found this. This sounds a lot like the noise it makes during tick over... and I'm guessing / hoping that the exhaust shouldn't do this...?

I'm guessing here cos I can't play the video (android phone) is it the outer skin coming off the exhaust and rattling?

has it got the heat shield in front of engine, it can rattle.
the exhaust mounting adjacent to rear of gearbox breaks, this rubs and rattles.
the heat shield over the top of the rear silencer gradually rusts and becomes unattached, this can rattle.
 
Ok, so dumb question... Is it worth replacing with a s/s middle and back section? The rest of it is pretty fekking rusty and will get holes soon if it doesn't already.
