Hello!

I have a 1986 Defender 90, the previous owner believed it was ex raf.

It has certain bits that would suggest it was, like originally blue, wheel mount on bonnet, mounting holes for the soft top which I have seen some blue raf ones have, but no military plate.

The mod came back with no information when I sent the vin to them, I was wondering if there were any other clear signs to determine weather it was infact ex mod or not? Thanks!

Are there four small holes on
The driver side of the seatbox?

Also, please post a pic of the whole dash.

If it is ex-military, the date of first registration (assuming it's DVLA) will be much later than it's year of manufacture.
Yes, but the DVLA records usually show the date of first registration with them, so pretty much an in-service date.

OP, have you applied for the full Merlin report or just sent general enquiry with VIN number? You need to apply for the full Merlin report to get the proper info' you're after.
