I have a 1963-88 and I wonder if the canvas belts around the rear axle on my vehicle is common for all Land Rover or just ex.MOD?

The inside of the vehicle is military green so I suspect that it´s an old MOD.

I think I maybe wrong here, but is there a map light or a convoy light? Mine also has belts helping to retain the axle going to far, I as far as I was told these are optional extras? Also where's your fuel tank and or filler?

There is a map light but no convoy light what I´ve seen. The fuel tank filler is on the right side. Before I had a serie 3-109 and it had twin tanks, convoy light and fuel tank filler underneath the seat. But, as my present LR is from -63 I thought that perhaps not all these details where introduced this early.

Ei maybe, can you take and post photos on here yourself of location of map light, that way we will be able to hopefully tell you if someone put it there or if its original, also what speedo have you got mph? What light dime? What engine? Bumperrets? What seats? What dash labels? Has it got a gun rack?, these are the only things I can think of currently, actually my wife brought me a military land rover how to identify haynes book, give me a text and I will have a look and phone you back, if any help

I´ll take some pics and try to post them here. Speedometer is mph and the seats are changed to modern ones from a Defender I think.
