Well, finally got the wing outers fitted. What an absolute arse they were, panel gaps are a bit dubious on one side but when all is said and done it is a Land-Rover.

Ah! Those bulkhead repairs are spot on :D Mine is more or less the same....Im just looking at buying a welder and finding somewhere during the summer to take the windscreen off and crack on with it.

Well, after a right clart on I managed to get the gaskets I needed for the screen hinges . Of course being in a blue packet the holes were too bloody small…..Jaysus I despair!
So new screen seal top and bottom and on with the screen, followed by the roof..yeah I know it’s a ****ty roof but it’ll have to do for now.

Painted slam panel and that’s about it, believe me all this took ages. Hoping to get done for the War and Peace.

Well I am still cracking on with the 90. I managed some sense with the electrics, if I had stopped and thought about it and not gone into bull in a china shop mode I might have realised that I had managed to pop a fuse…..2 hours of my life that I won’t get back.
I noticed that Island 4x4 had an offer on the swingaway carrier so I convinced myself that the spare on the back would hide the ****ty back door…still need a back door though . . ho-hum.
Next up was paint spraying, everything with the exception of the bonnet was etched , primed and sprayed green,’ tis a good job snots are green so I convinced myself that I had not inhaled any noxious fumes. Panel gap looks ok on the photos but I assure you they are not.

OK, stuff done up to now.

Put the new rock-slider/sills on, glad I did them body colour as they blend in.

Next is door tops, flat and paint then new felts and seals.

Looks stunning! Great work.
Makes me want to do mine but its my daily drive so I think it will have to keep the patina for a while longer.............
Still watching with interest :pop2:

I have read about the exciting things people have found hidden and long lost in their ex MOD Land-Rovers, well I have joined the hallowed band of finders.
Not to be sniffed at, and up there with bullets and other ordnance, I have a blunt NAAFI knife and a Compo tin opener. I have yet to decide if I should risk arrest and hang them off the mirror, or not!

The cab area before I start on it.

Awesome! I found loads of fag butts, about 40 chewed biros, about 5 lighters, 4 empty bullet cases 7.62mm and the crusts off a cheese sandwich shoved in a heater vent pipe so they were totally mummified!!

Found nothing in mine so far except the original cast paper put on the windscreen. it took a year to get to Withams then almost another year till I bought it.

Latest update; bonnet sprayed, fitted up and on vehicle. It came out better than I thought. New seats fitted along with seat box cover. To hide the fact that the seat individual components were just like a lot of blonds....you get the idea (collars and cuffs), I got some covers from Exmoor and was pleasantly surprised at them. Anyhow here's the photos.
