I love my landy but we've also got an evoke. It's a 17 plate. I've just had my heat shield taken off as it was corroded. A discontinued part. It's not an MOT fail. The fuel tank's plastic anyway, so obviously a design fault. Why did they stop making the heat shields and do you think they'll ever start making them again?

Do you not a Hero’s tin you could beat into shape as a replacement?

Hi, there are some available on the Bay I believe. Although I am currently investigating alternative options before committing. I have a 62 plate. There are off road options that are potentially longer lasting. If I did purchase a replacement I would get it powder coated before install. Has anyone had a fuel tank shield made by a fabricator?

Hi, yeah I have considered this. It's possible to purchase heat shield as sheet too, if that makes sense.. Seeing as a replacement part is 200quid and install cost on top, I'd like a solution that would never need replacing..
Considering this..

But would it serve the heat shield purpose as well?

Decent option as it wouldn't make much difference to the fuel economy lmao, although there must be some here with some thoughts or options please

These are just under body protection by the looks of it. I'd get the correct part unless you find an alternative 🤔
