Camera mount was indeed a failure, you might want to see my newer video on rougher ground;

Land Rover Defender - Off Roading - YouTube

Only a suction vice on the rear window, so wasnt expecting much!

Noisy old bugger int she!!

That's not off roading, its driving on an unmetalled road, also known as a green lane.

Well I'd far rather do that than be up to me meat and two veg in muck and blather, trying to winch mesen out of a big puddle, much more fun.:D:D

Decent mount makes all the difference ....specially on a series :D ....also worth trying different mounting locations for the camera to get a bit of variety when you edit .
I like a bit of gentle suitable music in the background BUT not everyone does just personal taste .

What camera and mount for that video? Looks pretty good, so I'd guess expensive?

Expensive .....nahhhhh

Camera is a Sanyo xacti full 1080 hd (£120 from Amazon)and mount is a mix of second hand Manfrotto bits from ebay ...universal clamp and 360 mount to have max flexibility.......expensive bits and series landrovers are a no no lol .

I could not understand why you drove it around just to waste fuel well in one way I can they are great to drive. but I am a big believer in those cameras, i have one in the front window and actually caught a bloke scratching my car, all because he had a aurgument with his missus and he had never been in trouble before , he pleaded guilty as he went into the custody suit and saw the film running .

Driven a 110 at work, it was bought as an emergency 'snow rescue' vehicle a couple of years ago, just in case anyone where I work got stuck / needed a lift, etc. and I can honestly say it does exactly what it should have. But, my God, what an awful ride / crap turning circle / noise!! lol

Makes you even more grateful to sit in a comfy Freelander ;)

Yes, southern softie here!!

I'm now a firm convert to having a video camera on the screen, running constantly.

A very good friend in a foreign land far away, gave me it as a gift and I now use it all the time.

It automatically switches on and keeps deleting the oldest vids to be replaced with the new ones. Over 8 hours on a 16GB card.

So I just review them and download / save any interesting bits.

Very clever piece of kit. :D

Singvogel.
