Hallo all, sorry to raise a topic that must have been done to death on this site but I am having problems with the Alpine CD changer on my '04 Td5- its the usual problem of not 'recognising' the CD holder when its inserted into the player, and jamming when trying to eject. I've followed all the tips off this site and others (including the one to give the front of the changer a whack to get the holder out), cleaned the thing up, played with the gearing a bit to loosen it up etc etc. I can get it working only to then have it jam again after 1 CD. I heard somewhere that these have a shelf life of 5-6 years so should I just give up and replace? If so, any suggestions on a replacement that I can just replug in and play immediately without having to buy interfaces etc- just a decent multi cd changer will do, I'm off to Devon in 2 weeks and I can't imagine the journey there if I can't calm the kids with their CDs.......
yes, I know I should get an MP3 compatible but I don't do ipods etc so just the CD player please....! thanks in advance for any help, Oastee
