What he said.
Thanks for sorting the route. A thoroughly good fun day.
I had to visit the jet wash to get some of the mud off the wheels. Awful vibration before hand.
had wandering and wobble all week (checked and its definately swivel bearings...) so reckon it's really asking for trouble if i went playing but couldn't resist the one on a414 at north weald on way back from work.
and guess what happened . . . .
.... yep. headlamp plugs melted. went rather dark shortly after that.
after many cuss words and poking i discovered a loverly bit of wiring joining the bumper spots to the headlamp high beam.
- get spot wire
- cut headlamp wire
- twist the 3 ends together
- lightly season with insulation tape
- sell vehicle to your mate who points out "sold as seen" doesn't really apply cos i can't see anything due it being pretty frigging dark down the lane and picking up 20 rothmans on the way to bring back my automotive multimeter, 12v soldering iron and some wire isn't too much to ask.
although it's my vehicle now and my problem not his - i have done the same for him.
(not sold a wagon to him with shonky wiring, very "distressed" headlining and a still lingering smell of baby poo/puke)
guess it's now that time to go over the whole damn thing and at least get a triage priority thing going...
so no winch before the olympics. stick with cheapy hand winch or hi-lift (if i can get some decent winching chains).
ok.
stopped moaning now.
sounds like it was fun today.
