Decided its time to move, so I am looking for a barn/workshop around Basildon Wickford Billericay area. not after anything posh just somewhere to store and work on the motors anyone fancy sharing a place or know of any? Also got 3 lots of heavy duty pallet racking that makes excellent huge workbench/storage. I use one and Matt has one in his workshop.Dan/Mikey/Chris any good to you?

Yes please if you've got any spare. Built a new workshop end of last year & it's now full up all across the floor :)

Think it will only be a temporary workshop, as we are moving to our house to do it up to sell, then will hopefully get a place with a decent garage.

Clutch is slipping so started on it last weekend. Decided to take the engine out as i also need to fit my 3 gauge senders and that requires changing the oil filter housing for a one i have modified. I am also ditching the oil cooler.

Got a Britpart clutch, uprated clutch fork and NSK release bearing. Also got a new spigot bush to fit.

Should get it all done this weekend if the weather stays dry.

Well i wasnt going to but several reports on here saying people having them for 2 or 3 years with heavy abuse and are still fine so i went for it lol.

I remember a thread about clutch choices and there are dome good brands that are not that expensive but would be a better choice.

Oh FFS you have me worried now :( i can get an AP one for about £80 so might order one then and punt the britpart one on. Someone said they were Valeo ones in Britpart boxes but there are no markings on it.

Actually I have just looked at the photos of a genuine Valeo friction plate and its identical to what i have, the pattern ones look a little pony so am fairly confident its a decent one.

Does the part number end in G, if so is pucker. I just bought all new bushes sold as best around they came in the blue box but are genuine parts. Brit part now give a two year warranty.

Its bloody confusing. Looking an Britcar it lists Pattern, Valeo and AP clutches all in Britpart boxes lol. Will have another look when i get home tonight and make a decision.

When you borrow the engine crane ask the person if you can keep it for a coulpe of weeks.....................cos your going to need it when you have to change it AGAIN.
I'd get the Valeo or AP if it was me but then it's up to you.

:D Or just buy it and keep the crane! And keep buying Britpart because they're cheaper :D
