Well I havent driven it since June last year so no rush i guess lol

Might see if I can get the sump off and check the big ends

Oh dear, that don't sound good. I started by dropping the sump & rebuilding the bottom end. Ended up with a new engine.:D
If you've got the sump off you may as well change the shells, think they are about £35.

A minor miracle happened today. Jacked up all 4 corners and not one wobbly wheel bearing! Amazing! BUT..... both radius arms were loose and one trailing arm. So not perfect lol

Anyone want to buy a RR Classic that's decided it doesn't want to start? :)

Think I've had enough of it and it's time to go...

relatively good nights laning, although i now have a couple of issues. Spots have stopped working, as has the CB. And diff locks ceased LOL
Couple of hours in the workshop needed!

Yeah ill take the centre console out this week. Need to check the wiring for the lights and CB sooner rather than later, dont want a fire now do we, eh mike?

Lol scary having your centre console bursting into flames while on a lane! Tbf I really don't think yours would be the same issue mine was the aerial connector coming undone and dropping onto the live of the battery so fuses did nothing lol

What year/engine/condition? Any pics? What price? Might be interested or know someone that is

It's an '89 G plate, 3.9 V8, reasonable condition few rusty bits but chassis is sound. I was looking for around £700. Is it best to e-mail pics over to you?

I have a horrible feeling I forgot to plug something back in when i had the dash out. My blowers dont work or light up. done a few checks and i have 12V at the ignition load relay in the drivers footwell but its not getting to the blower relay in the passenger footwell. the wire also changes colour making me think there must be a connector somewhere. am tempted just to run a new wire between the two

Well i tried to rectify a few of my issues today. Diff lock seized up, so whipped the centre console out, and drilled out the rivets for the cover and took the top plate off the lever. 4 x 8mm bolts and the plate came off. Used a pry bar to move the lever over, caked it all in WD40 and now it moves to diif lock, and hi/lo range with one finger!! Always had to force all my others. Think ill keep it well oiled from now on. Its so light to use now :)
Found out why the CB and spots have stopped working. The relay for the spots is mounted in the engine bay just above a hole i have in my inner arch and it was completely caked in mud, as were the wires, which had perished and split from the spade connectors on the relay. My CB was wired into the switch for the spots hence why that wasnt working either. So i rewired the CB to the back of the cigarette lighter whilst the centre console was out, and just ordered some new relays, so ill reposition the relays and rewire the spots later in the week :)

Dan, My local club are going out Tuesday night around Ongar. We are meeting at Ongar truck park near the Landy dealer around 7.15.

Went to Essex Offroad Sunday and did this

I got sick of those bloody things. I also did a 200 prop conversion.

Never had any issues with them.

In fact got a couple of perfect spares in my garage from previous breakers.

My current one is starting to go but that could be 17 years old for all I know.

The lane in black Notley has been open since 1st April and the large concrete blocks are still in the way.
Anyone fancy a bring a sledgehammer session?
I am sure we are within out rights to remove it now.
