On the way home the engine was noisy, possibly a pully. Maybe power steering pump as the power steering seemed to go off a few times during the afternoon.

Then it overheated and lost power coming into Braintree, had no heaters all the way home.

Topped up with 2ltrs of Tescos own water for 17p but no heaters.

I'm hoping its just an airlock and will replace the water with antifreeze in the week and top it up through the thermostat housing.

Might even get a new stat in there.

Worth checking the Aux Belt tensioner, had mine fail before. It powers the PAS and Water Pump so could be the issue. :)

Bit of advise needed, going to put on plus 5'' shocks on rear, as i will be changing mounting bracket, should i go for pin/pin or stay with the pin/eye set up. Ive seen the pin ones snapped before. What make should i go for, got pro comp on front but was looking at terrafirma ones.

Dont forget to seal and put jubilee clips on the pipes.

Go for pin/pin, if you keep the pin/eye then you will be restricted on articulation.
Didn't know you could get pin/eye +5" shocks

Only pin/pin for +5 don`t do them up too tight thats why they snap, get Old man Emu or the big bore terrafirma are OK but OME best. then you may need longer flexys and relocation cones if not already fitted. Do you have cranked rear arms if not you may need them aswell to make use of the extra travel.

Got extended brake hose and bump stop and cranked rear arm, just assumed you could get pin/eye. Will check price of ome ones, from memory they re pricey.

OME are very pricey, but then they are very good. Personnally I'd go with Terriferma. Mikes perform really well where as the Pro Comp's I had very far too bouncy.

dont forget double cardon ;)

Ome are good, had my terrafirmas for a year now and not had a problem with them, perform quite nice on the road as well.
i would recommend getting the Gwen Lewis top mount rather then the terrafirma ones tho.

And as James said don't do up the rubber mounts too tight as this puts a lot of pressure on the pins.

Double cardon is not needed on rear just a wide angle will do....and is only really needed on the front if you caster correct by radius arms or bushes.
A far better way is clocking the swivels IMO.
Intersting! saves me a few quid when i do it next year!
How in the world do u clock a swivel??
