Take it to starternator to recon it for you, cheaper than buying one. Or hasnt someone got one from a breaker Nick or Brian or Chris.

Cheers Geoff/Jeff/wickfork90... That's the name of the place "starternator" - Brian's starter has packed up & is buying nicks one! - I'm sure I've just seen a new one on eBay for £66

Unless anyone else has one fore sale ???

I got mine from Euros, cost about £100 but has a years warranty so I can return it if (when) it gets knackered from laning!

Whats gone with yours? Colchester rewind also recon them...

Hi Jon, top of the starter motor there's a wire that's held on with a nut (think its the 'live' wire, anyway I thought it was the nut that was loose, but under close inspection the thread has snapped!! - so the live wire isn't actually connected to nothing, it's just rattling around inside the starter motor! (I guess it could be fixed) but I like the idea of a new one with warranty (just need to find someone whose got an account with Euro's ;) ;)
