I bet their torquewrench is a scaffold pole, farmers are not known for spending on bits of kit like that.

Hi all,
I'm new to the website and to Landrovers... Recently purchased a discovery tdi300.
Got it muddy for the first time on sunday at 'essex offroad' and it was brilliant fun....
Would be up for a bit of green laning....
Cheers.

So shall hopefully fitting this week, plan is to run waste gate and gauge from inlet manifold and keep the fuel pump boost pipe on the turbo, and up the boost a little what psi do ya recon i should take it up to?
There will be no benifit running the wastegate from the manifold IMO, you can make up for the boost drop by adjusting the actuator arm and if your running the gauge at the manifold you will be working at inlet pressures anyway, just adding more work for yourself there. I ran my disco at 1.2bar for a short while, one hell of a turbo whistle but did go a bit better...
Wangie take the boost gauge from the turbo side of the manifold that way you are seeing exactly what boost is at the turbo as that is what the wastegate/ boost guage is protecting, it is also where the fuel pump takes its feed from.
