On another subject, got all my welding gear today gas and the steel, put it all together to have a practice and the tits that supplied the wire and tips sent me .6mm tips instead of .8mm went to halfaulds (£1 a tip robbing bastids) to get some but they had the wrong ones, so psyched me self up to do some welding and now im stuffed. Will try to get some in the morning but local one is shut saturdays.so if you aint to far and got a couple spare.

There is always penetration going on here. 8 inch diameter and 16 foot long at the moment using 1mm wire and 350 amps.

Can't grumble at £1700 (standard ones are £1100+) and this one had an MOT from one if the fussiest Gits on earth) I wanted one that I'm gonna keep! -- sorry Stu I managed to get mine insured for £170 for the year all mods included)
