Just to say the gems throttle sensor is not available from anywhere even the us(at this time). Secondhand is the only possibility unfortunately. They don't last much past 120000 miles so most used are already kaput. The one I've ordered is from the us used so here's finger crossed.

That's the one off the Plymouth or whatever?

No that's one off a disco 2 v8. Basically the same part. No breakers in the UK have this part. No suppliers either side of the pond supply this part. It's on back order indefinitely. If you know of other American cars that use the thing spill the beans! My jag xjs uses the same tps exactly BUT the spindle is a 90 degrees! Miami British are the company I've just ordered from. Many American parts companies list this sensor take your money on eBay then don't contact you to say it's on back order. You wait with baited breath for your parcel......after 30 days contact them to be refunded! Third time lucky I guess.

Do you have a photo? I'm in the states next week and know a few people who are into various v8 trucks, they might recognise it and be able to suggest an alternative.
Other thing is, I assume it's only a potentiometer so I wonder if it would be possible to jerry rig a different pot onto the throttle body. (I'm assuming the tps fits on the throttle body?)

The French one is from a Thor. The p38 spares one is no available actually I think p38 spares are trying to massively expand and I'm not sure the website is still relevant tbh. I could put epoxy putty into the jags tps screw it onto the body let it set voila. But these things are slightly engaged as there put on ie the pot is just off zero. Might be tricky to do. Plus it would ruin a good jag tps!
Theyve just shipped my part ,with me on 22 woohoo!
Actually they have only generated a shipping label but I'm assuming this is a used part, it must be in stock.....fingers crossed.

No wonder no-one else can get one when they're all squirrelled away in your sheds.
